Octordle
Solve eight five-letter words simultaneously with thirteen guesses.
Octordle takes the Wordle formula to its most demanding extreme: eight five-letter words must all be solved within thirteen guesses. Every guess applies to all eight boards at once, producing colour-coded feedback on each one independently. A free daily puzzle and an unlimited practice mode are both available at octordle.com.
How it differs from Wordle and Quordle
- Eight boards are displayed in a 2×4 grid; all receive the same guess simultaneously.
- Thirteen guesses for eight words means an average of 1.625 guesses per board — far tighter than Wordle's six-for-one.
- The same letter can be green on one board, yellow on another, and grey on a third — all from a single guess.
Strategy tips
- Dedicate your first four guesses entirely to information gathering. Cover the 20 most common English letters before targeting any individual board.
- Prioritise whichever board has the fewest remaining candidates — solving it "frees" you to focus elsewhere without wasting guesses on a board you've already cracked.
- Track eliminated letters on paper or mentally. With eight boards generating feedback simultaneously it's easy to forget which letters are globally absent.
- If a board goes green early, use subsequent guesses to gather information for the harder boards rather than immediately moving to another easy board.
- Use our Wordle Solver on each board individually by entering the hints for one board at a time.
